Apple, FBI Deny Guilt in UDID Leak

The 5th was a big day for Apple fans as the mobile giant announced that it would launch its latest iPhone yet on September 12, and also a hacker group called AntiSec talked about the 12 million allegedly stolen Apple UDIDs. The hackers group said that they removed all personal information from these UDIDs, and then posted 1 million of them on several websites. AntiSec claimed that they stole the unique identifiers in order to evaluate FBI’s security system.

iPhone 5 Battery Surfaces, Compared to iPhone 4S

The website that has already posted several iPhone 5 leaks, iResQ, has published new images allegedly depicting the device’s battery, actually the first photos to capture that part. Placed to the left of the previously leaked logic board, the component seems to be an ideal fit with the uni-body chassis featured on earlier photos. In a side-by-side comparison with the iPhone 4S, the purported sixth-generation battery is taller and has an output of 5.45WH at 3.8V, a bit higher than its predecessor’s 5.3WH at 3.7V.
